Actually, I heard the BHP is more like 1036-1050. Because when doing 250+ in normal conditions, thats going to be fine enough. But in any conditions that are less than normal, the Veyron needs a little more to get it to the same speed. But thats not a proven fact.

Re: Buggati Veyron

meh, it was built as the fastest car in the world but they took the wrong direction. the reason they need that 1001hp (its somewhere like 850SAEhp) is because this thing isn't very aerodynamic. the mclaren f1 did what 230 or 240 with 600something hp. that's because the f1 was built properly. this one has a sexy interior and is very comvortable, handles fairly well and goes like stink. 0-60 in 2.5s, 250mph top speed is what i heard, and the gears change more smoothly than an automatic (it's an automatically shifted manual with paddle shifters). i'd rather get a saleen s7, pagani zonda, koenigsegg cc, atc, but they're a different type of car. this one was built as a luxury car that can out accelerate just about everything.

Re: Buggati Veyron

it's the fastest production car in the world but it still sounds like it sucks. it needs nearly 400 more hp, 4 more cylinders and 4 turbo's to make it go about 15 more mph than the mclaren f1 and all the changes it needs to be more aerodynamic like when you hit a certain speed another wing goes up and the suspension drops a little bit.

Re: Buggati Veyron

I like it. Mostly for having 1000HP, but the styling is a little not my taste. I usually like sleef-looking cars.

Re: Buggati Veyron

sexy sure...but think it's got competition from the latest caparo t1, ugly looking brit made car and it's street legal too!

Oh and heard the bugatti is facing probs this year due to some rules reegarding airbags in the USA, apparently it doesn't have enough!!!!

well it wasn't built for having toddlers in it, or was it?

Re: Buggati Veyron

I live in the valley area of LA, and on the 101 freeway, after the usual Sunday Calabasass car show, i saw a Bugati Veyron racing a 1000hp M3 whose owner i have met. Neck and Neck for as long as i could tell, which was like....5 seconds haha.

It took me a long time but i finally gathered pictures of nearly 100 of the best concept cars out there, if anyone wants to take a look, or set them as your wallpaper or something, check it out here, all in one file:
