It all depends upon what kind of backyard mechanics you perform....whether you work with domestics, imports, or if you tinker around with everything that has screws and bolts and nuts in it...

SuperStreet, Import Tuner, Popular Mechanics, Hot Rod, Sport Compact Car, Workbench - That is if you're into Woodworking in such, they have quite a bit of stuff about improving your garage, so that's car related as well.

I agree, 2NR is a really good mag...they do have lots of good stuff...this month they have a tutorial on how to reduce weight in your car to get more speed.
