Re: 1/24 20inch BBS F1 from Tuner Model Manufactory

Thanks for showing the variations. Perhaps someone can advise me about sizes and looks. I'm trying to get the effect of a deep dish painted rear rim like some tuner Murcielago's had.

Unfortunately with a new comp windows version I'm trying but having no luck posting the googled image. (my fault, not the OS)

But I'm guessing most of those looking at this thread understand the look.
the car is bright green and has painted thin matching green outside rims, with black centers. Dont care so much about the style of center, just the look of the finished effect. Not sure of the size even. The Fujimi Lambro kit will be the base and I'm hoping these two part wheels will allow me to paint the green then drop in the centers and possibly use the fujimi tires. Not even sure if the aftermarket wheels are the same size. Again it's the effect. not needing the exact version.
Any help or partial answer and I'd be grateful.
thanks

thanks for posting the pic. Those are the wheels. Now its trying to figure out the part number of the deep inset rims on the first page. My Murcielago will be here in a couple days. I can find out how wide the kit's wheels/tires are.

So the PIAA and Hamann faces fit inside the aluminum rim without modding?

Yes they do, they're a nice snug fit inside the rim.

The only minor issue I have is that all of t2m's rims are the same depth, no matter what width they are.
You can fit the centre to the outside for an almost flush rim or fit it from behind for a small amount of dish.
Hopefully some deeper dish rims will be available soon.

Regards, Dan

Thanks. I would say that that is a big issue. I hope they fix it

Re: 1/24 20inch BBS F1 from Tuner Model Manufactory

Well I recieved my wheels and Murcielago kit yesterday. If you are building something like that, then the narrow 10mm rims are needed for the front... 12's for the rear. Also many of my wheels from other kits slide up inside from behind. Even the T2M inserts can carefully be inserted with no sanding so a touch of sanding should make it an easy mod. That would allow deeper insets as required. The deluxe versions have 5 packets of perimeter screws and center badges and valve stems. Very nice and even perfect if you want to invest that much time and money. The center inserts are perfectly cast. No flash, nice uniform surface. A little concerned that the tires stretch over tightly. Will they break with time? Overall these are fantastic products!! If you want painted rims or bright aluminum rims with painted centers..plus you have a car that can handle 20" dia wheels, these are the nicest I've seen.
