Hobby shops in Atlanta?
I'll be in atl for business this week and I want to explore the areas hobby shops. Anyone have any suggestions of shops that I have to check out? I'll drive a bit to see the good one if I must!
Thanks, Stu |

Re: Hobby shops in Atlanta?
Don't get terribly excited, there isn't that much
Huge Hobbytown USA up in Kennesaw, just west of I-75. Decent selection, but paints are hit-or-miss. There's a Hobby Lobby a block away. Smaller Hobbytown up in Duluth near Gwinnett Place, smaller selection, but usually not out of stuff (except the Tamiya sprays that will probably never return at the rate they're going...). AAA Hobbies up in Marietta is a small shop catering towards mostly airplane builders, but great selection of paints.

Re: Hobby shops in Atlanta?
That's too bad. I went there back in the late 90s. What an experience! I went back in the early 2000s and it had changed from the super cluttered, super interesting place to a more traditional hobby shop. I guess the firemarshall must have got on their case! I found lots of treasures back in the day at Automotif.
