84 Ford Ecoline van... no spark help!

I ahve a 84 Ecoline van and the star cranks but wont start. The coil have power running to it but it wont spark up. we tried a different coil and still the same thing so anyone have any ideas?

im havin the same problem on a 86 econoline xl with an ambulance chassis....hopin to find some help myself

Use a 12 volt teat light if the light shows power to the positive side of the coil. Put the light on the negative side of the coil. It should blink when trying to start the vehicle. If it doesn't replace the pickup in the distributor.
Normally this requires a puller.

Otherwise use a rebuilt distributor or junk yard.
The module in the distributor Auto Zone or Advanced will check free.
