1999 Jimmy SES light

I just replaced the engine in my Jimmy a couple of months ago. 2 weeks later, the check engine light came on. Had it checked and replaced fuel cap and vent valve. worked for a week, then the light came back on again. Any ideas? Also have an ABS light that won't go out.

Re: 1999 Jimmy SES light

What DTC's were retrieved for the EVAP system? They start with "P". It's not unusual for the SES light not to come on right away for an EVAP code, sometimes it can be weeks before the monitor runs and completes its test.

What DTC's were retrieved for the ABS? They start with "C".
