Re: The Official Blazer Forum Off Topic Thread part III
Here's something some will apreciate... Like some, I work for a grocery chain. I started in the stores - went corporate for a while - then to distribution. We'll now I'm headed back to the stores. I got fed up with the stress and lack of support in distribution. Stress so bad that I've been out for the last 2 months on disability. I though dist might be a cool place to work because of all the different areas. What I found was that not a single person was happy and nothing interested me. So what do I do? After 19 years and very little schooling I decided to look at the stores again. Along with the stores comes lower pay though. I took a shot anyway. Well, the store I applied at took 3 weeks to get back to me with an offer - and what an offer! They will take me at my current pay! That along with 40 miles less driving a day = a pay increase!!! My HR department was blown away- they've never seen pay as high as mine kept. I'll be making more than the asisstant and pretty close to the manager!!
I just thought I'd share - since I am rejoining the ranks of the disgruntled stockboys.

Re: The Official Blazer Forum Off Topic Thread part III
hahha, i was the disgruntled milk guy today, and tomorrow too. 5am-130pm. The company also ended up sending some guys from the division office to help me since the Out of stocks were high (over a hundred, they want less than 10). Im thinking since they'll be there tomorrow to help too, that we'll get the dairy back to a nice organized, and FULL department, for the other guy and gal to mess up all over again. I was so mad this morning because the first 6-wheeler (basically a hand truck on its back, and extra wheels) I took on the floor to stock with was the one I put together on SUNDAY. then there were 3 pallets, which shoulda already been broken down, sorted, and on 6-wheelers. Just wish that the main manager was there to see how the division guys and I cleaned up that place. hopefully my closer will finish the 2 6-wheelers I left.

How big are your guys stores?? It sounds like they are pretty small since you're always bouncing from department to department.

Re: The Official Blazer Forum Off Topic Thread part III
Our old stores(Wegmans) average about 80000 sq ft and have about 100 employees. The new designs run in the 130,000+sq ft range and have a ton more people. The big store are awsome but the small ones are nicer to work at cause you know more of the people.
Shawn, I'll check that out in the morning.

Re: The Official Blazer Forum Off Topic Thread part III
I'm still with Wegmans - I find it hard to leave after 19 years! Also, my other major choice would be Tops(AssHold). I don't think so... LOL!
I checked out the reviews - look pretty good! I really like the truck. I think it drives a ton better than my old s10 and my Blazer. The guy I got it from had all the paperwork and really took care of it. We'll see how long it lasts with my kid behind the wheel!

Re: The Official Blazer Forum Off Topic Thread part III
hey guys, started the heater core, then had to head off to work, Pa thought he could finish, but cannot find the two blots holding the steering column that are NOT pictures in Haynes manual. because of this, dash will not tilt yet, giving access to the core. This is really important, considering I have no transortation in the mean time (ok, so its been since 10am Friday, But thats too long for me to be without wheels). Not that its un-needed, but walking to/from work at the moment. I guess that he called a local shop, and was told "since the dash is already partially taken off, we'll charge you 400, instead of 600. im gonna have a buddy head over there tomorrow while im workin, to take care of stuff. Its been many years since he did a heatercore (it was a 77 chev p/u) and back then he said that it wasn't IN the dash, but in the bay, covered up, with easy access. I would like to get this done, since well I miss my dime, and freedom to drive at any moment I please.
Also a co-worker was telling me that there were some blazers that came factory with the 5.7, is that right? model years 1999-2004?

Re: The Official Blazer Forum Off Topic Thread part III
grrrrr, still no fix. IM considering paying someone to finish this off. This is ridiculous (sp?). I feel like a 10year old, asking mom and dad for a ride somewhere. Problem is that it takes 10 minutes for them to get from their place to mine. My buddy and I got most everything off, need to take off where the blower is, then we should be able to take off the plastic piece covering the HC. Finally done!!! well not quite yet, "some" assembly required.
