Shift Into Overdrive

Hello & Thanks in Advance,

Has anyone ever come across when using the Cruise Control that the overdrive comes on and does not shut-off even on a flat surface? Mine did it this morning and I checked the tranny fluid and it's ok. After shut of engine and start it seemed to work fine.

I know it comes on if driving up or down a hill using the Cruise Control.

Re: Shift Into Overdrive

Hello All,

I found out what the problem was. When I filled my gas tank to the max, meaning almost coming out of the spout, this happen. I did it twice and both times it happen. The next fill up, the gas pump stopped and I gave it 1 more pump of gas. Drove the car and no problems ever since.

Hopes this helps someone who might have this issue in the future.
