Angry Hard Start Hot

Hello again. I have another issue with my 1990 Geo Prizm. The engine starts up immediately when it is cold, or sitting for a while. When it is hot, I have to crank it over for a few seconds. Sometimes it will take two tries. I thought that it might be a clogged injector. I tried fuel injector cleaner a few months ago, with no help. Fuel pressure also crossed my mind. The engine is a DOHC 1.6L 4 Cylinder EFI Engine code:6. It is really annoying and embarrassing. This is me when the problem occurs: lol. Thank you!

Re: Hard Start Hot

It could be that your losing fuel pressure is leaking down, your going to have to put a gauge on there and do a leak down test. Have you tried priming the lines by turning the key on and off a few times. Could also be a bad fuel pump, I have seen this happen. There are other possibilities as well but go check for fuel pressure.

Re: Hard Start Hot

Suggestion is to post your question about the Prizm in the actual section for it instead of the Blazer forum.

Then learn to follow the AF rules and post your question once.
