1993 Geo Prizm - Battery Indicator Light is Intermittent

My "drive to work" car is a 1993 Geo Prizm sedan. Roughly 150,000 miles. Everything works except the AC.

Few months back, my check battery indicator light came on. Found out it was a bad alternator. Had a friend replace it and all was well for a few weeks. Then, the light started coming on again, intermittently. Went to Advance Auto, had them check the battery. It was bad. So, bought a new battery.

However, problem is still on-going.

The indicator will come one sometimes just flashing on/off for a few seconds. Sometimes it will come on and stay on for 10 minutes or so.

I'm VERY much not a mechanic, so I've no idea what is going on. Ideas?

I very much appreciate the help!

A bad battery can ruin a new alternator in no time. Get that alternator re-checked first.
