Three Questions (Regarding R33 & Mini)

1. I have a Tamiya Skyline R33. I would like to paint the body with the same or similar color that the boxart shows. What color (of Tamiya can spray) would be the closest color?

2. I saw some people's finished skylines. Could you advise me on how to paint the white outside line on GTR emblem on the back of the car?

3. Am also building a Revell new mini. The box shows this black line on the bottom part of the body. I would like to have some advice on how to paint the black line on the wheel part. Since it's curved, masking seems to be difficult. For those of you who already have built this model, what method did you use to paint the black line on the wheel part?

Thank you for helping this newbie. ^^

Welcome to AF! Where are you in the world?

1. If you're someplace where you can get Tamiya's MS-line of spray paint, I hear MS-6 Metallic Purple is a decent match for Nissan's Midnight Purple.

2. White? The trim around the emblem is chrome, is it not?

3. I haven't build the Revell Mini, but I've masked circles before by printing out the circles from my computer, laying masking tape over them, and using them as a cutting template.

HTH!!

Stop nitpicking others and go buy a dictionary.

Advise verb: To offer advice to; counsel
Advice noun: Opinion about what could or should be done about a situation or problem; counsel

Thanks for your help, Jay...still questions...

1. I can only get TS-line tamiya spray at my local store. (I'm in the US, close to Philadelphia) Where can I get MS-line spray? and what's the difference between MS-line and TS-line spray?

2. Oh, my fault. The emblem trim IS chrome color...so how would you paint it?

1. Well, that's the rub... Never seen the MS line for sale in the U.S. :o

2. I just used a tiny brush. Otherwise, you might try a toothpick, an eraser, a paint marker...

I go to this one called "AAA Hobbies and Crafts" near Voorhees.
I bought one or two Tamiya models from there, but I think I will get models from HLJ next time...also will get MS-line paint from HLJ, I guess...

What store do you go to?
