Riding until the wheels fall off
I have an 1993 Infiniti J-30 with 146,000 miles on it. I got it with 120,000 miles on it. Since I got it I have replaced the tires, brakes, struts, shocks and air filter. I also regularly change the oil and rotate the tires. The question I have is realisticly how many miles are expected on this car to last?

Re: Riding until the wheels fall off
i've got 140k on mine... not alot besides basics done... tune up and the like... now the damn door, that's another story. i'm just going to drive mine till it dies, and the buy something else... personally i love the car, but when it gets to be more than a pain in the arse, it's gotta go

i saw one for sale up the road from my house it had 180k miles on it. i did not test drive it, it also cost $4500, ha. but if you havent had your second timing belt that would be a good idea. also maybe a water pump. other then changing those and other small things that may go wrong. the trans is about the only expensive thing to go wrong.

u think thats a lot?
before i did my engine swap to the TT, i had 260,000 some odd miles and it still ran like it was new still on the first timeing belt and water pump. on that engine i had a custom intake, honed and polished upper and lower plentiums ( AKA intake manaf.s), chiped ecu's, chiped engine,540cc injectors..... and it was pretty quick too. but i wanted the power
i did sell the engine with add ons of $2,300 tho |

Re: Riding until the wheels fall off
first off...
bs on the engine swap if your talking about the J30... unless you have some serious pics to back it up because no one around will do the swap for less than 10k and it's even then a tight fit. secondly. I'll sell mine when the time comes for 3200
