The gap should be the width of the ball holder in a pen.

Re: 86 bronco II sparkplug gap

open the hood and look down then to the left (should be passengers side) there should be two labels, at the bottom of one of the labels the plug gap should be printed at the bottom, if that does not work I usually just call my local auto supply store and they give me the info.

Re: 86 "BUCKING bronco II

I have a 1986 B2 with 2.9 FI engine. It starts OK, but when it idles, it idles up then dow, over and over again. I have replaced the in tank fuel pump, new plugs, new plug wires, new battery, fuel filter, etc. When I am driving at idle it jerks and bucks and does everything except throw you out of the drivers seat. I have checked for and repaired any vacuum leaks that I found. Has anyone else have this problem?
