Toyota Camry Clicking Sound Front Left
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbF0cJjCiFU
Car History - 2011 Model Toyota Camry LE Purchased in September 2015 from DCH Toyota having 64.5 K Miles Toyota Certified with 2 years warranty on Engine Driven without any issues since last 2 years Driven around 20 K Miles DCH Toyota Showroom serviced around 2-3 times each year. Regular Service. No repairs or parts replaced till now. Problem - Since last 3-4 months I have noticed a clicking sound in the front left. I notice this only when I am driving at low speeds (10-20 MPH) within the apartment or parking lot . This sound is heard only on rolling down the window. I discovered that this sound exists only when I take my foot off the accelarator. When the foot is on the pedal I dont seem to hear this. Same when I am cruising above 40. However I am 100% not sure whether clicking does not happen in these scenarios. One point to be noted is I have been advised to change my brake lining as it is in amber. This was advised almost 6 months ago. Not yet changed as it has a few more thousands to go. I have recorded the video on October 8 and this gives a first hand account of the actual condition. Look forward for the experts opinions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbF0cJjCiFU |

Although there are probably other potential problems that may sound like that, in my opinion the most likely problem is with your CV joint.

Re: Toyota Camry Clicking Sound Front Left
Thanks Brian!
I made the owner of a local mechanic shop see my video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbF0cJjCiFU After hearing the sound, he said more often he would not worry about this kind a clicking sound. He also mentioned this might be because of the brake pads getting worn out and the sound might go away if the brake lining is replaced as suggested by the Toyota showroom. |

I would change the CV joints if they are split and leaking grease. If they are intact, then I wouldn't worry about them.
