Thumping noise while driving
I have a 2003 Sonata that has a 150 k on it and now when I drive it I hear a thumping noise. The faster I drive the louder it gets. It seems to be coming from the front of the car. Does anyone know what this is and how I can fix it. Don't have the money to take it to a garage and I'm hoping I can fix it myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks... Greg |

Re: Thumping noise while driving
Jack it up and check the tires. Rotate them by hand and feel around the circumference. See if they turn concentric and not wobble. Could be something stuck in the tread or a broken belt.

Re: Thumping noise while driving
I was just talking to someone and he told me it could be a front wheel bearing, does that make any sense.

Re: Thumping noise while driving
Had all four tires changed and the problem is still there, any other ideas.

Re: Thumping noise while driving
