Re: JDM TCU for an H22 in a 91 Accord
Well, you two are right USDM H22'S did not come with an automatic tranny untill 96. However JDM H22's did come with automatic trannies from 92-95. Thats what I have in my car an automatic JDM H22. I am speaking to someone in Fort Laurdale who may have one. Thanks for all of your replies, and I will keep you posted.

Re: JDM TCU for an H22 in a 91 Accord
Appently <spelling> I did! This guy says he has one, but I think it is from a F22 which is allready in my car. I am putting it in as soon as I get it to see if the red line pushes past 7k which it should easiely do if I have the right TCU. If not it will be back to the drawing board, but that's what building cars up is all about. Trial and error. Once all of the errors are elimated you come out on top with a fast efficient 4 cylinder engine that can wax almost any all engine 6 cylinder out there. That's my goal! I will supply you guys the info when I find out if I found the right TCU. Glad to hear your car is running good darhemady1!

why are you saying that the tranny is going to make vtec hit harder and clearer? the tranny puts the power from the engine to the axles, the engine maks the powrer, and the engines ECU takes in readings and says when VTEC hits in. you can change your gear ratios and thats not gonna change when vtec hits in, if you are runnign the accord VTEC ecu then your vtec would kick in when it did when the stock F22 vtec was under the hood. when you swap to the H22 ECU (dont know the code) then the H22's vtec will kick in when honda programmed it to, not when your transmission tells it to.

Re: JDM TCU for an H22 in a 91 Accord
OK as far as my TCU it did not work out for me. I plugged in a TCU I found for a 92 Prelude and the red line stayed the same and the S light came on so I put my stock one back in. If anyone has any suggestions please keep me posted

Re: JDM TCU for an H22 in a 91 Accord
I have a control unit from a 92 USDM prelude that did'nt give me the performace I was looking for, but would work in your car because it plugged right into my 91 accord, or if you want one made specifically for your car the name of the place is auto computer exchange and the number is 1-877-489-4659. Hope this helps.
