Detonation Error

I've been having troubles with my 1988 Nissan Pulsar Nx Se, so i ran a diagnostics on it and 2 codes popped up: Cam Angle Sensor and Detonation Error. Can anyone tell me what may cause a detonation error on the car?
Thanks.

Re: Detonation Error

Have the base ignition timing checked or have the cam angle sensor checked.
