Squealing Noise in 99 Rodeo
I just purchased a 99 Rodeo 4X4 with the 5-speed stick. It makes an intermittent high pitched squealing noise at highway speeds. This noise comes up through the floor right about where the center console glove box is. In fact, it really sounds like it is coming from the console glove box.
Any ideas? |

Re: Squealing Noise in 99 Rodeo
You could have a loose exhaust heat shield. They are typically spot welded on and the weld may of popped and at certain RPM it may cause a buzzing sound....
I have a couple of heat shields that do this. A hose clamp will typically fix the issue ...
