Re: air tight or not air tight

It depends on what needs to be sealed in order for it to be completely sealed, is a slot port, tube port, or what. WHat brand enclosure and whats it made out of. I have a slot port box that i made some pieces so i can run sealed and ported all i need to do is remove 4 screws and it pops out for ported.

Don't ever look at cars as just imports or domestics. Just because a car is made in a certain country doesn't mean that it is anything like another car from that country. An example of this is Mitsubishi reliability, just because they are Japanese doesn't mean that they are as reliable as a Honda or Toyota.

Re: air tight or not air tight

The only air that should come out of a box is through the port.

^^ That is correct. I would say try and seal the one you have right now or else if you want to try a ported box you can pick up a sealed box that can be ported as well by removing a recangular piece on the box with four screws in it at Best Buy for $173.

SLot port. Id look into a new enclosure. IT wont look as nice and clean with a piece of MDF screwed to the front. You can get them on ebay for like $60.
