Porsche 962 Turbo intakes?

Hey, where do the 962's turbos get thier air from? Because the car doesn't have openings anywhere near the Turbos...The sides are like perfectly smooth except for exhaust outlets.

See? no snorkels or naca ducts, which brings me back to my question..where do its turbos get thier outside air from?

Re: Porsche 962 Turbo intakes?

If look carefully there are more than enough ducts in that body to let air into a hungry engine.

Re: Porsche 962 Turbo intakes?

I see 4 inlets that are very likely involved.

Re: Porsche 962 Turbo intakes?

I see six vents on top and ones on each side that could be intakes.

Re: Porsche 962 Turbo intakes?

ohhh, thanks man. The only reason why I ruled out those huge side intakes in the doors is because I thought they were only there for the two radiators. So I was thinking Porsche would use a seperate intake for the turbo's outside air. I just have one more question...If those huge door intakes are for the intercoolers and turbos, then where's the opening for the radiator?

From the factory, turbo induction for the 962C was from plenums located just underneath the intercoolers. So the 962C's twin turbos were piggy backing on the airflow that came in from the door inlets.
