Just posted this website to someone else on another forum:
http://www.autocolorlibrary.com It just shows paint chips, I believe, but it is fun to see what colors are out there. |

Re: car colors
If you want glamour colors then go to House of Kolors metal flakes, cnadies, pearls, and a host of others.

Re: car colors
I don't know if this helps but you can always just make your own color ie(toreador red pearl) a basic ford color with a little pearl. I did this with a 66 mustang that I restored a few years ago and it's my favorite paint color so far. So if you have access to a body or paint shop you might just get in there and play around

Re: car colors
What year GTO? And how original is it? Changing from the original color, with a car that is mostly original, will have a significant effect on the value (negative). If it were a LeMans or a Malibu, it wouldn't be such in "issue", but GTO or an SS or other "collectable" muscle car is considered more desirable if original.
This is not to say you shouldn't paint it a different color. It's your car and your money, and you should do with it as you please. I just want to make sure you understand the ramifications of such changes. Jim |
