Protection Mode Help

I have a Sony 150rms x 1 amp and while driving today it just cut into protection mode. When I turn the car on my amp is on for 3 seconds then goes into protection mode. I have checked all of the fuses in my car and amp. I have tried rehooking everything but no good. I have also tried having no subs hooked up and still in protection. I do not know what to try now. Hopefully someone could help.
