Front Door Speaker Install Accord '94
I am trying to install speakers in the front door of my 1994 Honda 4-Door Accord. I bought some 6.5" pyramid speakers and am trying to figure out how to take off the door covering. Does anyone know how to do that?
Any help is appreciated... Phayz F. PhayzFaustyn@softhome.net |

Re: Front Door Speaker Install Accord '94
Yeah dude I just finished doing it. Its easy I used my Haynes guide to the 94 accord that I picked up at Advanced Auto Parts.
1: Unscrew the lock that is in the top of the door 2: there is a black plastic triangle shaped cover on the top of the door on the inside that covers access to the screws to undo the side mirrors this pulls right off and snaps right back on. Take that off. 3: pry the small circle cover on the inside of the door handle and take the screw out. 4: Begin pulling the door handle out you will see a couple of wire connectors behind it you need to undo those and the lock spring. 5: Undo the lock spring first. It has a small plastic clip that can be pushed off with you hands and then the spring should slide out upwards. 6: Now you can get at the wires for the power windows and door locks and unhook their little harnesses. 7: There is a small circle shaped plastic screw in the top of the door (the part that meets the inside of the dash when the door is closed it looks like a button) pry that out with a screw driver. 8: At this point you should be able to get your fingers under the door molding and pull it out and upwards. You should hear some pops of plastic screws. this lets you know they are coming out correctly. the molding should lift up and out because it on the top of the door. 9: Remember when you get the interior trim off you will see a harness for the small light on the bottom of the door you need to undo that before taking the trim anywhere. 10: Installation is the reverse of removal. ~SOUNDS COMPLICATED = IT IS NOT!!! YOUR SECOND DOOR AND ANY AFTER THAT WILL FLY BY~ "When in doubt just go out there and spend some quality hours with your car. Snoop around you will learn a lot." |
