First off, Legacy sucks ass. NO ONE should EVER buy it. I blew all my Legacy crap. 2 subs and a so called 800 watt amp. Everything blew together. You get what you pay for, so newbies, keep that in mind. If you see a 100 watt amp for $150, dont buy it. I isnt REALLY 1000 watts. If it really was, these cheap amps would put Rockford Fostgate and the others out of business. Think about it.
RMS is like the average wattage or power that a sub, speaker, or amp pushes out. MAX is like the maximum wattage or power that it is able to put out. The best amps I know of are Memphis amps, Rockford amps, and JBL (the new ones). JBL's new 1200 watt amp just lowed in price several hundred dollars. You can pick one up for about $400 or less. They will push ANYTHING!!!!! Polk has some nice subs and speakers. MOMO is the best. Its their top of the line model. Be prepared to shell out a few bills for MOMO stuff. My friend had 4 MOMO 12's and 2 MOMO components sets, WOW!!!! He hit!! The Strokers are supposed to be really good too. |

In my first paragraph, I meant to say 1000 watt amp for $150, NOT 100 watt amp for $150. Sorry. I feel stupid.

I can only speak of what I know...
Focal speakers are... Grrreat! Pioneer (and/or Premier) have good heads. MTX amps are good. Rockford Fosgate subs suck. Infinity speakers/subs are great. Ample Audio speakers are great... very clear. Blaupunkt are aight.

well from my experiences with these brands for my subwoofers
cerwin vega audio bahn 1200x infinity perfect jl audio w3 the w3s by far were my fav. but if i had to choose which one had the best bang for the buck the audio bahns would take that. but the quality of their speakers i had recieved was far below my standards. so the only thing i have to say is you get what you pay for and if i were you i would save and get the better product whatever that may be. |

Cool! My name is Eileen, and my husband is Ken. (Last name Allwine) We were at the IASCA final in NC, as well as at Carlisle several times this past summer. As far as future plans, we are focusing on the exterior and performance of the car. (Winter project) We also have a lot of tweaking and tuning to do. By the way, what kind of car do you have? (Ours is a 1993 Silver Ford Probe GT) There is a good chance that we may have seen it before. If not, it is likely that we will see it this up and coming season.

Ok, its all coming back to me now... very very very clean car! Do you and your hubby do all your own work or do you outsourse? IASCA is killer... takes a ton of time! I absolutely love to see IASCA cars in the flesh, pictures and discriptions are just not enough. Anyone who is looking to get into competitions should DEFINATELY take a look at the top players to see what it takes. Its not always about $$$$... but creativity

Oh, you have a Civic. Sorry about my previous question. "What kind of car do you have?" Oh well. I guess I should have asked you to send me a pic. EileenNA@msn.com
P.S.- You can view a pic of my car from finals at http://www.naughtyandniceracing.com/members/nice.html

What about Pyramid?
I just bought some Pyramid 6.5"s and are those any good? Got them for a great deal at around $30 and put out 150 watts max each.

I have Boss audio stuff. I got a 625 watt amp with two 10's...They hit really hard, but I'm getting rid of them for 12's(I like the deepness).
