Air Bag Light Keeps Coming On
Hi all,
My air bag light comes on intermittently. I can make it go away by banging on the right side of the steering wheel. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks, Ron |

Re: Air Bag Light Keeps Coming On
you need to take it in to a high ranking tech or dealer as soon as possible SRS (air bag system) problems are very serious!

Re: Air Bag Light Keeps Coming On
Sounds like a loose connection of some sort. Disconnect the battery and leave it sit for half an hour. Then disconnect and reconnect every connector you can get you hands on. All airbag wiring is yellow. Our cars are famous for bad grounds, loosen and retighten every ground screw too, you might fix other annoying little problems you've forgotten about.

Re: Air Bag Light Keeps Coming On
Sounds like you found the problem then - either bad connection in/around the air bag module in the steering wheel or that module is bad and you need to get a different one that will work. More then likely you might just be able to make that connection stronger and you should be good.
Let us know what happens for future reference! Thanks - Dale in Southern Idaho |
