starting car
I was just handed down a 2001 Sienna minivan recently. I drove it back to school with me and the very next day it wouldnt start. Tried several times and gave up. Tried again the next but it still didnt start. I had the vehicle towed to a Firestone and they started it up with no problem. My mom and I got into a discussion about whether it's necessary to give a car a little gas in order to start it. I was never taught this is drivers education so never have before. I was wondering what eveyone else's practice of starting a car is like. Is it necessary to give a vehicle gas on the startup?

Re: starting car
You shouldn't have to give a fuel-injected car "some gas" to get it to start unless something is wrong with it.
