Re: Getting system on a budget...

you might want to check out some of the deals at best buy too. i know sometimes you can get an amp, 2 subs, and the box for about $200. my friend got that a couple months back, and they sound decent for only 200. i personally dont like the sony amps or subs, but its pretty good for only 200 and if your friend isnt all that interested in car audio or upgrading his system much more, id recommend them.

Re: Getting system on a budget...

none of that stuff is gonna be much good...

the comp VRs are but boss sucks. most of the other companies suck too.. very low quality.

try and do a setup with comp vr 10s or alpine type r 10s maybe or incriminator 187s or somethin cheap that will hopld up and get loud for the money.

and i would actually say that a single 12 setup could be done better.. rather than getting cheaper/smaller woofers just to have two of them.

one alpine type r 12 with 750 rms in a nice ported box would be better than most dual cheap woofer setups.

Re: Getting system on a budget...

just get what i got, i got two 12" audiobahn subs 400rms watts for 98$ from onlinecarstereo.com, and a kenwood 2channel amp from best buy for like 200, there are some for like 150+. As for the box, juss make one if your good enough, if not just spend like 50.
