Kicker Solo X's

Has anyone seen these in a car besides the kicker comp buick? Has anyone heard them? If you are not familiar with this sub it is an 18" square sub. That claims to hold 5,000 watts rms. There are only select few that make amps big enough. 1 being the us amps 6000x 6000x1 8 gauge speaker outputs good god. If anyone has a hatchback and wants to pop or shatter their hatch glass this is the way to go...

i saw in a magazine a mustang that kicker did and it had the 18" sub in its back seat. its called the solo x. it does hold 5000 watts rms and 10000 watts peak. the mustang was runing four kicker 1250x1 amps to the sub (two amps to each voice coil). i know audiobahn makes an amp called the A5000SPL which is 5000x1 at i ohm mono and you can get it for like $700.

Re: Kicker Solo X's

the local audio shop has one. and only one, they have had it for a while, they wany $1800 for just the woofer. but they wont sell you jsut the woofer, thye have to install. a guy wanted it installed in his blazer, would have cost him $5000 for just the sub stage. im constantly calling BS on the prices at that audio shop. some kid wnated 3 w713's in the back of his extended cab GMC serria 1500. 3cuft each ported tuned to 28Hz and they fist said that it couldnt be done. then after i went in there with him and thew BS all over the place infront of at least 5 cutsomers in there at the time they quietly told us $900 to have the enclosure made. then i said BS on that and that i could build him an neclosure for les than $300 just as good as them, they soon lowered their price to $400 and threw free installation in there. needless to say after they installed the wooferes he hasnt gone back there for anything audio related. even when one of htem cut off due to a speaker lead short. he simply had me look at it in the parking lot. ya well, anywya, id rather have a DD9917. better SQ and greater SPL....
and JBL Crown has the mac daddy of all amps. 10,000w to be exact....what a beast.
