Year:1988 trooper

Here is the format to use:
Year: 1997 Trooper Limited Engine: 3.2 L Mileage: 74k Any major problems: None, except for the ticking that started last week.(see my first post) Even has original brake pads, rotors, O2 sensors, spark plugs.....beats the hell out of my 1992 Range Rover County (glad I dumped that money pit and got a Trooper in 1997). |

Re: How many miles do you have your Isuzu?
I have had my Trooper for 6 years, and it had been a great car.
Year: 1990 Engine: V6 Mileage: 236,000 Any major problems: Not many. It's been great overall. The fool who owned it before me never changed the oil, so i had a big job when I first bought it. Now it's running great, PCV problem started the other day that I'm looking in to. |

Year: 1995 P'up
Engine: 2.3L 4cyl 5sp Mileage: 212k miles Any major problems: Lifter or rocker arm ticking. Still gets 26 - 28 mpg. Runs so much stronger than a 2000 Chevy S-10 with 2.2L Cavalier engine it ain't even funny. I bought the S-10 to replace the P'up but after 6 months of wimpy performance, I sold the S-10. |

allan k.w. welcome to the forum.
It's best to leave this thread mileage/age only. Start a new thread with something like "98 Trooper - No heat" or whatever your model/year/engine is and answers will come there. |

How many Miles do you have on your Trooper
1986 Sold in Virginia then exported to Bolivia in 1995.
Engine is a 2.3 L 4ZD1 Miles about 136,700. Odmeter is in miles not kilometers. Brake pads make a clack clack noise at times. A little grease on the ears has helped, nothing has cured it. Oil sometime measures incorrectly. I've over filed on a couple of occasions. Oil leaks on right side or fuel pump side of the engine. I think a tune up would help, sometimes seems to have a lot less power than other times. I need the specifications for a tune up. Alternator brushes went out and all the lights came on. So far, we have only had it for 6 months, no major problems. Could used rear shocks and spring mount rubber bushings. What the heck! she is 20 years old. Great ride, and low gear power is real good.
