OT Guidelines! READ NOW!

OK. In the last day or two, OT has been experiencing a number of problems, including:

Bringing back / Posting to old threads
-People bringing up LOTS of old threads for the purpose of postwhoring. One particular member has been banned. Do not do this. If you want discussion from active OT members on a topic you encounter that is 3 months or more old, start a new thread!

Voting in old Polls
-People voting in OLD polls. Do not do this either as it brings meaningless threads up to the top. It floods COT for the regular users with things that they don't want to read.
All polls in COT and other OT forums should be set to 10 Days Timeout. If any mods see open ended polls, please edit them to 10-day expiry.

Signatures
-Be considerate with your sig. You may like using your 24 megabyte background picture in your sig, but beleive me, 56k users wish to reach down the modem line and rmeove your testicles. Kindly make it smaller

Closed/Locked threads
-If a thread is closed/moved/locked for some reason and this is a problem, NEVER EVER start another one either questioning it or continuing it. PM the appropriate mod about it.

Posting in the appropiate section
-Find the most appropriate off-topic forum for your new thread. Political jokes belong in the political forum, angry threads in stress release (usually) and I've-just-smoked-too-much-pot threads belong in Philosophizing or next to the purple mushroom man.

Unneccesary threads/posts.
Any inane, pointless, offensive or useless posts will be removed without notification or explanation.

Image posting
To post an image, please follow the steps outlined in this thread. We really hate seeing red "X"s all over the place. For other image hosting sites please see this thread.

One final note:
Please give as much consideration as possible to other OT users.

Oz
