ok follow up question, Did all of you pay for your own cars? I personally havent payed for any thus far. But my next Im helping for the downpayment and insurance since its gonna be in my name. But my moms backing me up. kinda a bitch having insurance in your own name at 19 when you have your license suspended =\

First car
1989 Ford Taurus 2 months after i turned 16 (feb.)for 300$
at the time it was a good deal, then the name started kicking in F(ound) O(n) R(oad) D(ead), spring break, the brakes went out 346$ to fix one month later battery died 50$ fix 5 months later alternator went 200$fix new tires 100$ recently lower tie rod was loose enough it wouldn't pass inspection,,,passing inspection cost 330$ some mornings i wake up and the car just doesn't want to work, but the A/C is good and it has a radio which is more than a lot of people i kno can say it is my daily drive to school

the back bumper hangs on for dear life, the car shakes above 55 the transmission acts funny, the left turn signal is gimpy and won't stay down and thee-brake leaks grease
