2.5 contour engine

The contour was also designed to hold a Zetec in 98-00 so its not a huge project, and it has been done in a Focus already. A 3.0 would be about 225hp and 235tq at the crank thats enough to go from high 15's to low 14's on a stock motor, and thats b4 any basic bolt-ons. The only problem is the weight balance is off for being a great handeler.

and what does the se v6 having the same power as the svt focus have to do with anything? puting a svt focus motor is a zx2 isnt even worth the price of the motor.

im talking a swap that gves 183whp and 194wtq thats 13hp more then the svt focus gets at the crank and 49more tq then the focus makes crank.

2.5 contours had different subframes then the zetec contours, please dont argue with me unless you know. The contour also had zetec all the way from 95 to 00. If you don't beleive me check out www.contour.org

i can vouch the svt 2.5 is a very good motor, my contour svt NEVER once gave me a problem except the 3rd gear synchro which is not motor related. whoever you heard from that the 2.5 was bad is pretty stupid. (sorry for the double post.)

yeah my 98 svt had a 3rd gear synchro grind to, i guess it is pretty common in those trannys. but they are great engines
