VW Bus Pickup Truck
Hey can anybody name the exact year and model designation of this VW Bus Pickup? did they have a special name like the other variants did (Kombi, etc)?

Re: VW Bus Pickup Truck
Seeing it just from the front, the truck in the photo is an american spec 56-60 single cab pickup. The VW model number is 26. Would have to see the back to narrow it down. They were built from the beginning of the Transporter line in late 1949 to the end of the "bay window" busses in the late 70's. Not all that uncommon, but definitely added cool factor. Since they were workhorses, examples as nice as the picture are rare unless restored. VW also made a three door double cab (crew cab) model starting in 1958.
