Very true... TVR does have a great presence, you know when one is near you with the booming engine and beautiful curved looks.

Gripping is different also, with a Trevor it grips like nothing else, with a Porsche it grips as good but you have all that electronic bollocks that goes with it! Must admit, the Porsche is more forgiving, if you make a mistake it will do a nightrider on you and steer itself, with a Trevor you’d be dead!

With a Porsche its: Grip Grip Grip Grip ABS ABS Grip EBD Grip EBD warning warning Gone!

With a Trevor its more Grip Grip Grip Grip Grip Grip Grip Grip Your dead (mutilated in fact)

Nail biting thrills? The 911 GT3 outclasses any TVR.

Not on a price - thrill ratio though, considering the fully loaded top models come in a shade over £80,000 i believe.

Re: TVR Griffith

TVR's indeed offer plenty of bang for your buck but none of them would tempt me out of a Porsche especially a GT3. The new T350 is great though

The reason for buying these cars is simple. To make a statement about yourself, your company or successfulness etc. The Trevor tells a lot about the driver and his/ her ability to be different and the Porches (all of them, as they look the same) tells the public that you slightly better than the rest but not that different as you are trying to fit in with the crowd, buying what everyone else buys when they have some money! You know, the common sports car!

Do yourself a favour, and get in a ‘real’ sports car and enjoy what its like to actual drive a sports car!

It shows that you are either a pro or like the element of danger when you drive if people see you going really fast. THE ULTIMATE FEEL GOOD FACTOR!

Having a sports car doesnt make you "better than everyone else. And why would people buy Porsche's to fit in with a crowd? When you have money the first thing you want to do is differentiate yourself from the crowd. People buy Porsche's because they're great sports cars. Simple as that.
TVR's may have lots of grunt but that doesnt necessarily make them great sports cars. Porsche is the most successful racing company of all time and has made some of the best cars of all time, a tradition which continues to this day with the 911 GT3, GT3RS and Carrera GT. Even a basic 911 is a terrific sports car. As is the 911 Turbo, or the Carrera 4S. The often frowned upon Boxster (by people like you, no doubt) is constantly voted best roadster for its incredible balance and driver involvement. Ahead of TVR's, might i add.
Now stop being so narrow minded please, we all have our preferences so lets leave it there, thank you.

Re: TVR Griffith

Now to the griffith,
5 litre is my fave.
there is some good vids on www.tvrbliss.co.uk
of his Griffith going through country lanes, getting held up by sloow sundays drivers, even the slightest gaps he manages to over take others.
And when he starts t up !!!! man looks like the whole garage started moving too !!!

Re: TVR Griffith

On a bangs for your buck basis a TVR will hammer it's respective Posche, howerver as avid a TVR fan as I am I have to concede that the respective Porsche is better built. Though the TVR would be my personal choice I would not impose it on others. As for the Griffith it is imo hands down one of the nicest looking cars ever built.
