Re: Books on the Mclaren - Which ones to get and why

Sorry for the repost Greg. Obviously I need to watch this place more carefully ;-)

Thank you Erik for fixing the cover Photo link. In my eyes it was definitely worth buying!

Re: Books on the Mclaren - Which ones to get and why

Just got that book last Friday evening, and finished reading it yesterday night. Not perhaps as informative as The Story of The Supercar by CAR Magazine, but the photography is absolutely stunning, and the text is informative enough for anyone new to supercars without being exhausting.

Re: Books on the Mclaren - Which ones to get and why

If any of our US-based readers don't have the 1995 Le Mans annual, now is the time to get it at a BIN price of $100. This seller will only ship to the USA though.

I already have my copy. Someone please buy it so I can stop thinking about the future values of a second copy on my shelf...

If you are in this game, 1995 is definitely the year to have. Congrats!

Turns out that i was looking for 1995 GT Endurance...

However i have not started collecting the Le Mans annuals yet so this is a good start.

Any leads on other books? Im also looking for a GTR by Cotton.

I think we need a "for sale" and "wanted to buy" section in this forum lol

Here's one but you'd have to pay shipping from the UK:

AutomotiveForums rules don't really allow for something like that in a sub-forum like this one. Good idea though.

Re: Books on the Mclaren - Which ones to get and why

I think that price is pretty fair - the other two GT books seem to be more reasonably priced than this one generally.

GTR would be a good score at $249.

Re: Books on the Mclaren - Which ones to get and why

Welcome!

I've only had 1 GULF version through my hands, of the 8(+?) GTR books I've owned; it commanded a higher price than the others due to its scarcity, but it was offloaded in trade for an Owners Manual

I believe there is a box somewhere with many in however Le Man stated they are on the high side of pricey

That place is crazy expensive, I had a look around their stall at Lime Rock earlier this month and all the books they had were so much more expensive than anywhere else. I guess some people must pay the prices though.

By the time I called the shop that listed GTR for $249, it was sold. I'll keep looking...
