Exclamation Need help with engine

I have a problem with my engine losing power when it rains. If I drive it for about 10 minutes in wet weather, every once in a while the engine will suddenly drop rpms and just lack power, like im losing a cylinder or something.

It will sometimes also make a loud popping sound from the engine (sometimes a series of pops) before it starts working normally again. This can happen at any time, including accelerating or travelling at a constant speed. If I let off the gas completely and then get back on it, it usually returns to normal.

This only happens when it rains. Any other time and the car runs like a dream. It is lowered and has a short ram intake. Someone told me my distributer is getting wet, but that doesnt seem right since I checked it today when it was doing it and the distrubutor and surrounding area were totally dry.

Can anyone help me on this?
