like Clarkson, my favorite two marques are Jaguar & Ferrari, always have liked the race XJS variations, so I'm looking forward to seeing this build!

Looking forward to this build as well. Saw the car race at Elkhart Lake back in the day. Have the same kit too with this very thing in mind but don't think I have the skills to pull it off.

Awesome model, I am a love of old Jaguars and XJ12 is not an exception...
Will follow this for sure... Cheers, James. p.s: Will you be interested on sellin' those TWR Jaguar wheels? I've been looking for a set for ages...

Not fair nascarfreak. You beat me to this one lol
I have the hasegawa kit too and decals but I'm not ready to build this kit for at least a year as I have 5 kits in the process and I've been in the hospital for the last 6 months I don't suppose I could get you to copy your decals with a laser color copier for me so I can compare the set of decals. I'm not sure how accurate the ones I have are I saw this. car run at Sebring. I'm a big fan of all the group44 cars and have a Triumph TR8 model I will make as a group44 car that I saw run in 1980 or 1981 can't remember exactly PM me if the color copy of the decals is doable and I'll send you an address Thanks nascarfreak. I'll follow your thread John |

Looking great and just hooked to see more updates. I to plan to do this same car to make company to my scrachtbuild Jaguar XJC-12 by Broadspeed....but since I have not even finished this one...who knows when I will start the Group 44 One. Is great to see these cars been done/scrachtbuild in scale, keep up the great work. you are doing in this project.

Re: 1976-82 SCCA/Trans Am #44 Quaker State Jaguar XJ-S Bob Tillius
Great project, awesome car. Nice to see how scale realism can be practical too.
That front suspension strut brace keeps the body aligned. Will be following this for further updates. p.s. Nice to see the many shots of how your are searching for the right way to create those complex compound shapes of the wheelarches...are they round,...are they square. I love it. I.M.O. the DTM BBS wheels look the best, but not as an insert to the wheel you've picked. That's more like a contemporary 18inch wheel. As a 70 - 80's car those rims are more likely to be 16 - 17 inch. my compliments so far with kind regards
