360 Upgrade

Have a 66 classic V8 770 sedan. Australia.Just completed a complete near bare metal respray ..The new interior should be ready next week ..all this to origonal specs .. The only thing I will play with is the engine
Thanks for all the help converting a gen 1 instillation into a gen 2 ..MUCH APPRECIATED
Now runs a 290 ..but over time I will start rebuiding a 360 which I have purchased ..the block is getting prepaired as we speak
have a spare pair of 401 heads part no 3216090.1 seem to be nearly identical to the orig 360 heads
Now the question
I would like to make a mildly hot motor not over the top
what ..pistons cam .. should I stroke it
Need to get it right the first time
Any advice appreciated
Charles

Re: 360 Upgrade

My dad had a 59 63 and a 66 classic wagon, and when I was 15 I would drive my mates to school in the 66 ... I'm 54.. dad passed away last year , and for some reason I just had to get one .thats my history with AMC ..With all the crap going on in the world today its good to walk in to the garage look at the beast and say ..THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN ABOUT
The 290 in it is good ..luv to build a 401 just damn hard to get in OZ so the 360 warmed up should be fine
