3.0 r spec b legacy rebuilt problem

HI, I've had my 2006 3.0 r spec b legacy rebuilt, the problem now is it fails to run. It will fire up and there is compression, fuel and spark, but then it just refuses to to run and dies off. My mechanic has had a full plug in diagnostics done, showing no fault codes, timing has been double checked. Just seems to be that final issue, could you perhaps suggest any options.

The reason for rebuild was that I cooked the engine, heads were skimmed, crank has been ground.New valves and rings due to damage, exhaust tappets/ lifters changed. New seals through out. Also new coil packs. Does sound as if the Cat is the next step, as I know a lot of sh*t went through the system when I damaged the car and it stood idle for a while before the rebuild.
Thanks

Re: 3.0 r spec b legacy rebuilt problem

Hey Meow
Just rebuilt my 06 3RB due to running out of oil and cooking the bearings. Sucker uses 400ml per 1,000km. But anyway when they put it back to gether we had all sorts of running problems. Subaru Diagnostics showed nothing. It had been sitting around a while too and in the end we replaced the engine sensors - and bingo it goes like expected.... hard! Sensors being faulty just seems to mean the diagnostics will be faulty.
Hope it helps you.
