Retail copies - not a clue. Virgin Books might be able to tell you? I think they did three separate print runs of the book.

For the Limited copies, there were 1,000 with the first 100 being reserved as 'Owner's Editions' offered first to the customers who had each specific chassis number. The leather on the Owner's versions was Connolly - the same as used in the cars. The rest of them, or some portion of the rest of them were covered in Nubuck. I am not sure if they made an additional 59 copies when they created the Le Mans Editions or if they just re-purposed Limited copies? Greg may know that answer.

The run of 1000 included the run of 59 Le Mans editions; mine has 2 'chassis numbers' - the # out of 1000 and then 35/59

I swear I may have had my hands on most of the production run of the normal DA though

Very nice Greg!

Had one of those in my hands over the weekend - it was the WEST cover.

They also had an F1 brochure and a retail copy of "Driving Ambition" next to it.

Just wait until you see the asking prices that were on all three of them.

Fantastic Greg

You just need a couple more copies of the Harrods and Gulf covers now to balance it out

I forget everything but the price of the brochure, but because I knew I would forget I took pictures of the price tags. Will have them later to share here.

Feel like I am swimming in 'Things to do' at the moment. Still have many more people to email after Pebble too, and a reply coming your way as well.

In your own good time Erik, with all that "meet and greet" going on at Pebble, sounds like your going to be real busy for quite sometime

Re: Books on the Mclaren - Which ones to get and why

In my hot little hands...

Then I saw the prices...

$545.00 for Cotton's "GTR"

$380.00 for a retail copy of "Driving Ambition"

And there's a soft-cover F1 road car brochure there in the middle. Wonder how much they want for that?

UNBELIEVABLE!!!

A few are interesting, but I am pretty confident they made the right decisions.

I was at the Lime Rock Historics today and I think I visited this very vendor, I couldn't believe the prices when I found these books. They also had GT Endurance 1995 for something like $295! There was a lot of nice books, but they were all very overpriced, I do wonder whether they actually sell any.
