The Lamborghini Project L147
"Finally I got the picture of the L147."
"This is how most of us know the L147 project but that it is all history click the picture to see the L147 as it looks without its disguise. (This was how the L147 was going to look before Audi took over hte factory). VW Boss says no to L147 design. http://www.sinc.sunysb.edu/Stu/howong/bob43.htm Lamborghini L147 (GT2, GT1). Lamborghini have several times been the holder of the title "Fastest production car in the world" but then came the Jaguar XJ220 (349km/t.) and McLaren F1 (371km/t.) and though the Lamborghini Diablo VT is the fastest production car today with its 335 km/h. it has to beat the McLaren F1 to be number one. However looking at the data's for the new L147 it seems as if they are not going at the topspeed but are rather concentrating on the acceleration. I think that is a good idea because when you think of it how often do you need to take the car beyond the 200 mph? Inside the L147 will be much improved compared with the Diablo. There will both be more legroom and the ergonomic will be improved quite a lot. The inside name is at the moment "Canto" but the name will probably be changed as the management want to continue with the traditional bull names. The new L147 program consists of three models of which the last model is perhaps going to beat all of them all at the 24-hours Le Mans race. The first model is a brand new car - the roadgoing L147 which is probably going to get rearwheel-drive and manually operated gearbox and later a new six-speed sequential gearbox like the one in Ferrari's standard-setting F1 will be available. We will probably have to wait until the year 2000 before it will be put for sale for the public. I only know very little about this car and the data's is not to be trusted that much. Lamborghini L147 data-board. Engine: V12, 6,0 litres, 60 valves, 600 hp, sequential or manual 6 speed gearbox. Performance: Topspeed 320 km/t, and 0-100 km/t. in 3,7 sec Price: 250.000 US$ The L147 GT2 is supposed to match the Porsche GT1 and the McLaren F1 and will probably be very close to the Diablo GT2 though the design have been improved quite a lot on the new L147. I only know very little about this car and the data's is not to be trusted that much. Lamborghini L147 GT2 data-board. Engine: V12, 6,0 litres, 60 valves, 600 hp, sequential or manual 6 speed gearbox. Performance: Topspeed 320 km/t, and 0-100 km/t. in 3,5 sec 4 wheel drive available. The L147 GT1 is planned for the 24-hours Le Mans race engineered and designed to beat them all. As with the other L147's the data's are the best I can get but there is still a lot of doubtfulness as the cars are not developed completely yet. Lamborghini L147 GT1 data-board. Engine: V12, 6,0 litres, 60 valves, 750 hp at 7200 rpm, torque 780Nm at 5500 rpm, sequential 6 speed gearbox. Measures: Width 2040 mm, height 1005 mm, weight 1335 kg. Tires: Front 265/35ZR18 and rear 335/30ZR18. Performance: Topspeed 375 km/t, and 0-100 km/t. in 2,9 sec, Quater-mile 11,2 sec, CW 0,30 4 wheel drive available. Price: 450,000 US$" |

Cars like this make me wish it's easy to get away with robbing an armored car.
