71 nova disc brake conversion

I have a 1984 Trans Am with front and rear disc brakes.
Is it possible to install these on my 71 nova?

Re: 71 nova disc brake conversion

It may not work, the rim might hit the caliper.Take one of the front tires off of the Nova and put it on the Trans Am checking for clearance between the rim and caliper. You are probally better off buying the conversion kit.

Re: 71 nova disc brake conversion

Definitely try the wheel swap first. The conversion kit itself will be big money, so even if your T/A swap won't totally work, you may able to get a good start requiring much less money to complete the conversion. I want to say that it shoudl work though, I seem to remember someone I know doing a similar swap successfully.
