Unhappy My windshield

I just called Tamiya to try and order a new windshield. I didn't know if they would sell me just that part, or if I had to but the whole clear parts tree. The guy checked the inventory, and the only clear parts tree they had in stock was already missing the windshield. (An epidemic!!! ) He suggested I try back again, but told me that Tamiya had stopped selling this kit in the U.S. through Tamiya America because apparently Honda "had a fit because the kit was right-hand-drive only, not left-hand-drive like the U.S. market car..." He said that any kits I see on the shelves are probably imported straight from Japan.

This is bad news for me. I may end up just buying a whole 'nother kit, but what will I do with the old poor half-kit under my desk? I may look into fabricating my own windshield, now that my other options seem to by drying up.

Awww, crap! I should have called them sooner. Don't be lazy like me!

I tend to buy another kit if I have a similar problem, as I feel the time I have put into a kit to get to that point is worth more than the money!
But hey, that is just me!

I feel that way about my R34. I am missing the front and rear bumpers now, but as the rest of the kit is either built or painted, as soon as I find a kit I shall get it.
I like the spares I have anyway!
I used the brakes from an extra Volvo 850 BTCC for the Skyline, and the exhaust from another kit too, so you will find a use for the bits!

The fact I am going to start the S2000 next will give you reason enough to buy another kit!

Answer to your problem !!!!!....use the end piece of a camera roll when you get the negatives back. They have a big bit on the end that has nothing on it....cut it to shape and fit....gives you car a nice tinted window look if you want it.
I done it for these 2 models below

Silver, if you want a clear windshield, go to a R/C hobbie store. They sell a piece of Lexan from Parma, that is used to build rear wings. You can make your own windshield as you can cut and adjust to the side of the frame on your model.

The only trouble is guys, and you would have to see the S2000 kit to understand, is the windscreen section is just on part of it! It has the frame and wiper mounting flange on it too!

Losing it! Muppet!
