Jeep gas pedal goes and sticks floor

I have a 07 Sahara unlimited twice in past month I was driving. The gas pedal goes all the way to the floor and sticks. I do not have floor mats in my Jeep. I try everything first time it popped back up when I turned Jeep off. The second time even after I was pulled over and Jeep was off it didn’t pop back up till I restarted the Jeep. I’m about to trade it in because all I hear is this is impossible.

Re: Jeep gas pedal goes and sticks floor

I would say either your throttle cable or throttle body is sticking or if it's drive by wire it's the reostat assembly on the gas pedal

Re: Jeep gas pedal goes and sticks floor

Try the easy possible fix of using some WD40 or Release-All and spraying the linkage under the hood.
