NuNu releases
Saw the images on the NuNu Facebook page, mainly from the All Japan Hobby Show 2019.
A BMW M8, the Nordica livery for the Volvo 240... Some Porsche Le Mans cars, including the winner from 2018, the retro Pink Pig. Pictures of several Audi R8 LMS GT3 in final production stages. So... when will they release these babies? Been waiting for the R8 LMS for 3 months now. Eager to stash up some more |

I'd build new BMW M8.

Re: NuNu releases
Nunu is taking on some interesting and previously ignored subjects. I believe the R8 release is imminent as Spotmodel has started taking pre-orders.
The Porsche 911 SC and Peugeot 306 Maxi are also exciting developments and I am looking forward to both of those.

Re: NuNu releases
Not forgetting the 79 Le Mans 935K3 and Barbour, some BMW's (E46, E21 Turbo, M1 Turbo…) and the Beemax projects (Starlet, Sunny…). Beemax being a sister comapny.
Crazy. |

Re: NuNu releases
So far they've been consistent with releases following up announcements. Just not very fast. They have long line up to release. We'll just have to wait, I think.

Re: NuNu releases
Please, let's Nunu get their time to release their news and to us, to have agreements at home to have all this models. If Nunu launch all ag the same time, we will have problems at home! :-)

Well... HLJ listed the Audi R8 LMS GT3 to be released in July. It is now December and it is still not here. Why bother stating a release date when you are half a year off? Does not make sense to me. |

Re: NuNu releases
The 935 K3 is out, but comments by another modeler made me look again at the photos of the kit, for example on the HobbySearch website:
https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10635590 And more particular this photo: https://www.1999.co.jp/itbig63/10635590a8.jpg The whole front side looks strange, it slopes down way too much I think, and the headlight covers appear to be too tall. The 'fold' between the KKK and DP stickers should run almost horizontally, but does not on the kit. In the center section of the car, the windows appear to be smallish compared to the door + running board. The running boards are considerably too tall. I made a very quick and dirty cut & paste job of the shape problems that I see. The lower (modified) one has a stretched greenhouse, smaller running board height, nose rotated 3 degrees and slighty smaller headlights. Do these modifications make sense? All comments are welcome. Re: NuNu releases
I don´t see any reason to be disappointed. This thing has never been a beauty and I think the kit is ok.
When the finished model is standing in its showcase, no one will ever notice this. Being to pedantic kills the fun of this hobby for me. There are so many kits which are much worse than this. Just my

Re: NuNu releases
Each to his own for course. Maybe I forgot that I'm a shape fanatic. And in my experience that's a minority among modelers, like an 80-20 or even 90-10 distribution.
The majority focuses on the details, and doesn't 'see' the overall shape, or is bothered by shape problems. I tested that theory a few times on unsuspecting fellow modelers, and the results were often amazing (to me). Once I see a shape problems, I cannot 'unsee' it. One example: the Profil 24 Porsche 917, 1969 version. Initially I did not see it, but 4 mm wheelbase was missing (plus some other problems). I modified my model to correct that. Now when I see an unmodified model, it looks totally weird to me, deformed like an egg-plane, or that the rear end is trying to overtake the front end. Enough said Rob |
