Jay Leno's video about 1916 car

I watched Jay Leno's video about 1916 car that may be the first hybrid car but the engine runs the generator that runs the electric motor that drives the rear wheels. Hybrid cars usually have engine and electric motor working together to drive the wheels.

I think that the first hybrid car was made by Ferdinand Porsche in 1899. The car had motors inside wheel hubs.

yup; 1898..
and first flex fuel was 1906, AND was carried into production..
Model T. since most rural communities and farmers did not have
fueling station infrastructure yet; it only made sense to make them
take gasoline/petrol, and corn fuel: prE-85/ethanol; and benzene, AND
kerosene (since most homes were heated by lamps and heaters)..
