You might want to look in E-Bay and check out some of those chips that the different outfits have for sale. I heard that thathey are not really worth it. You can install them without hurting your ride, so if you want to give it a shot, do it.

What would you guys recommend for better fuel consumption and better response at the moment it only has a freeflow exhaust on it and seems to be a bit on the lazy and thirsty side.

Well you might want to look at the K&N FIPK or a K&N panel filter. The FIPK replaces the whole air intake system with a cone type filter to allow better engine breathing. They really work as far as trottle response is concerned. It really doesn't affect your gas mileage. I tried one of the cone filters (bought on E-Bay). It made a tremendous difference in trottle response, but it raised hell with my gas mileage. The straight cone filter doesn't include provisions for the intake air sensor which I think caused my mileage to go to hell (the K&N FIPK does include provisions for the intake air sensor). I put in a flat panel K&N filter and I got a tremendous boost in trottle response, but no improvement in gas mileage, but that's ok, I really got what I wanted. Check out E-Bay for your needs; you get pretty good deals.
