92 GXE fuel injector hell...
I've had three fuel injectors replaced this year to the tune of $300/ea...
My 92 Maxima GXE has around 165,000 mi.... now I'm experienced the same rough idling and it looks like its coming down to replacing all of the fuel injectors... I've talked to my mechanic and he's willing to install them for around $200 if I supply the injectors....I've seen injectors online for about $75.... my local parts shop wants $140 ea..... is it worth it to buy the online injectors or are these junk...? |

Re: 92 GXE fuel injector hell...
Buy them cheap, take your chances, and then take them to an injector place that is able to "back flush"
them and thorougly internally clean them. We have a place in town where I live where diesel injectors are overhauled, cleaned and they also do auto injectors. Good place and they restore them to 90% new condition. Providing electrically they are OK, get em' cleaned and away you go. Certainly cheaper than the other route. Mark |
