Trying to find the Fuel Injector

I think my FI is getting a bit gummed up and I would like to clean it out, but I can't seem to find it. I didn't have a lot of light to work with, as I dont have a garage, and I would like to find out where it is tonight so I can get a good start on it tomorrow when I have some sun, before I go anywhere.

What year and engine size? If port fuel injection, they are under the upper manifold. If you have TBI, they are in the throttle-body.

You can find a picture of this on the Autozone website. It's filed under their vehicle repair guides. I think you'll have to register to gain acess to that section, but there is no charge for registering.

Re: Trying to find the Fuel Injector

It should be TBI, single injector in throttle-body. The injector is circled in the picture.

that's the tbi injection i would run some tranny fluid threw carb and keep it running while it smokes quite a BIT and then you burn that out try some sea foam in your gas. but sorry to say those were bad or junk moters after about 60 to 70000 mls on them i wouldn't put to much money in that cittations were just as bad but about same car like a chevy shit vette and the fiaro is same but moters in the back a backwards shitvette and replaced chevette with with pontiac t-1000 just my opion.

good luck....

Check the price on a new injector and the price to get a can of injector cleaner run through the injector. Probably cheaper to purchase a new one.
