2001 Ram 2500 -- Transmission fluid leak
Hi there,
I just got a 2001 Ram 2500 (5.9 gas) which has a very small tranny fluid leak in it. The fluid DOES NOT go through a cooler in the radiator, it has an external tranny oil cooler in it. The fluid appears to be coming from the lower driver side corner of the cooler (it is hard to see since it is between the radiator and the ac condensor) I read in the manual that there is a tranny fluid thermostat, could that be where this fluid leak is coming from? Maybe a bad gasket or something?? Just thought I'd check to see if there are any common issues like this before I pull it apart. Thanks! |
